The Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians and Pukúu Cultural Community will host 2014 Rudy Ortega Sr Park Clean-Up events from February to November. The Rudy Ortega Sr. Park Clean-up is a key component in the maintenance of a 3-acre park.

- Wear boots—preferably—or tennis shoes.

Tasks typically include the following: Cleaning walk paths and removing weeds and non-native plants; and spreading mulch or wood chips. Specific jobs will be assigned to each volunteer and must registered.
Volunteers should be 18 or older, unless accompanied by an adult. They should be able to lift 20 to 25 pounds, and be fit for outdoor work.
