Evelyn Cabral OSES Program Associate

Evelyn Cabral, (She/Her/Hers), Master Social Worker 2022 Candidate, OSES Program Associate, is a Chicanx raised on the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians Lands known today as the San Fernando Valley, specifically within the city of Lake View Terrace. She is the youngest daughter of parents from Guadalajara and Zacatecas. Evelyn is a first-generation college graduate who earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2018 with a double major in Sociology and Feminist Studies. She is currently a first year Master’s in Social Work graduate student at California State University, Northridge part of the 2022, two-year cohort. She is also wrapping up her internship at Pukúu as the Development Associate next month. Previously, Evelyn was working as a Case Manager with homeless transitional aged youth as well as a Resident Advocate with families experiencing homelessness. Her passion to serve others and building community is what has led her throughout her educational and professional career and continues to inspire her. On her free time, you can catch her hiding behind a book or rooting for her favorite sports teams.
